I received my PhD from the University of Toronto in 1994. My current research has two strands. First, on issues stemming from Michel Foucault's discussion of the 'care of the self' in his late works; second, on the manner in which knowledge-production can and ought to be democratized from the debate between Helen Longino and Philip Kitcher. I have published articles on social identities, epistemology, Foucault, and media ethics in The Southern Journal of Philosophy, Philosophia, Canadian Journal of Political Science, Journal for the Theory of Social Behaviour, Canadian Journal of Communication.
