The Bookstore
The University Bookstore is located in the Concourse at the heart
of the campus. It is one of
several auxiliary services provided for students, faculty and
staff. It is operated in such a way
as to pay for all reasonable costs out of income generated, and
endeavours to generate a small
net surplus. Seventy percent of its business is in the sale of
books: texts, general and reference
books. The bookstore also carries a wide range of paper, writing
instruments, and computer and
electronic supplies, as well as greeting cards, magazines, some
software, confectionary items,
a special order service for books, a photo finishing service and
flowers. Savings can be enjoyed
through special sales held throughout the year, the Laurier Book
club and the buying and selling
of used books at specified times of the year. It organizes a Meet
the Author series each year to
promote the reading of and interest in books.

The Bookstore has a staff who are qualified to
provide a worthwhile service
in an academic environment and an advisory committee of faculty
and students.

    Regular hours are from 8:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
throughout the year, with
the exception of Fridays when the store closes at 4:30 p.m. The
store is also open especially for
part-time students on Monday to Thursday evenings in the first
three weeks of classes in
September and January as posted.
