Food Service Facilities Wilfrid Laurier University operates its own food service offering both resident and non-resident students economical and nutritional meals as well as providing a wide variety of snack items. All students residing in the residence halls of the University are required to purchase a meal plan at the beginning of the school year. The meal plan adopted by the University is a declining balance plan using electronic computerized equipment. All food items are presented on an … la carte basis and students select and buy only the food items that are individually desired, and pay for them with their ID card. Each transaction is deducted from the student's credit balance. The card may be used in both the Dining Hall and the Torque Room. Meal plans are also available to non-resident students, both the Dining Hall and Torque Room offer food services on a cash basis for students not on a meal plan. The food outlets are open Monday to Friday. Saturday and Sunday only brunch is served. Food Services are closed Thanksgiving, Christmas Holidays and Good Friday.
