Computing Facilities The University offers a Unix environment on various platforms and a Banyan Vines microcomputer network. There is also a small DEC VMS presence. Numerous terminals and microcomputers are available to students, 24 hours a day in some locations. All members of the University community, students, faculty and staff, should be aware that the improper use of computers and the unauthorized copying of computer programs may constitute a breach of the Criminal Code of Canada and/or the Copyright Act of Canada, for which criminal sanctions may be imposed. In addition, civil actions may be taken against the responsible party or parties for which damages may be awarded.
