A study of the most important novelists, dramatists, and
poets of this period: Lesage, Pr‚vost, Voltaire, Marivaux,
Sedaine, Beaumarchais, Ch‚nier, Laclos and Sade. The changes in
theatre and poetry which took place will be discussed as well as
the social and literary phenomena which brought them about.  
Prerequisite: FR155* or FR205*.
