A study of French mystery novels from their beginning to modern
days including analysis of narrative structures of the different
genres: the classic puzzle, the thriller, the  roman noir , the
n‚o-polar and the suspense novel. Among the authors considered
will be: Simenon, Leroux, Leblanc, Japrisot, Pennac.  
Prerequisite: FR120 or FR121 (or permission of the Department).
