A survey course including a study of the Periodic Table, the
nature of chemical bonds, molecular structure, principles of
reaction rates and equilibria, some chemical aspects of pollution
and elementary organic chemistry. (This course does not lead to a
major in Chemistry.)   
Prerequisite:Chemistry (SCH3A or equivalent);
permission of the Department for students with Grade 13 or OAC
Chemistry.
