Government Assistance Programs Ontario Student Assistance Program All students who are residents of Ontario, Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada, whose parents reside and work in Ontario, or who satisfy the admission requirements of Wilfrid Laurier University may apply for financial aid under this program. To receive assistance students must establish need under the terms of the program and enrol at Wilfrid Laurier University. An award under this program will be made to theextent of established need in loan funds only. Application forms are available from the Student Awards Office, Wilfrid Laurier University. Ontario Work Study Program Students who are experiencing financial difficulties and who wish to work on a part-time basis, may be eligible for assistance under this program. Students must be registered as full-time students at Wilfrid Laurier University. Application forms are available in the Student Awards Office, Wilfrid Laurier University. Wilfrid Laurier University Short Term Loan Fund Short term loans ranging in value from $200.00 to $500.00 are available to students who attain a minimum GPA of 4.00 and can show financial need. The University makes these loans available and students should note that they are emergency loans only. Funds are only available for allowable educational expenses. Applications are available from the Student Awards Office. W.U.C. 1962 Loan Fund Full-time mature students in the School of Business and Economics after previous years of full-time work who experience financial difficulties may be eligible for assistance.
