A study of the growth of Greek literature from approximately 800
to 300 B.C. Genres may include epic poetry, personal lyric, tragedy and 
comedy, historical, rhetorical, and philosophical writing. Emphasis will 
be placed on how ancient Greek literature has had an
impact on contemporary theatre, writing and thought.
