An introduction to the Japanese economic experience from
remote cultural foundations to the contemporary "economic miracle." Special
emphasis will be given to modern social and economic institutions, 
contemporary economic behaviour and performance, comparisons with other 
developed economies, and opportunities for beneficial adaptation of 
features of the Japanese economy.
Prerequisite: EC120 (or EC101), EC140 (or EC102).
