Current theories and issues in the study of rhetoric, meaning and
language in written discourse, with some emphasis on the critical 
analysis of uses and abuses of non-literary public writing. (The course 
does not include direct instruction in practical or creative
writing skills.)   
Prerequisite: One of EN104, EN105, EN118, EN130, (or permission
of the Department.)
Exclusion: EN106.
