HI249 The Impact of the Second World War, 1939-1948 0.5 The course examines the impact of the Second World War away from the front lines of battle by concentrating on the role of civilians in the conflict. An attempt will be made to focus on the most controversial issues in the social, political, economic and diplomatic realms that arose in the decade from 1939 to 1948.
