The advanced study of a language for the interpretation of
religious texts (e.g. Ugaritic, Aramaic, Syriac, patristic and Byzantine 
Greek, patristic and medieval Latin, Sanskrit, Tamil).  
Prerequisite: Intermediate level of chosen language (or permission
of the Department).
