Food Service Facilities Manager Food Services: Donna Faulkner, Ext. 2596 Wilfrid Laurier University operates its own food service offering both resident and non-resident students economical and nutritional meals as well as providing a wide variety of snack items. All students residing in University residence (except Bricker Street) are required to purchase a meal plan. The declining balance meal plan has two parts. Prime dollars can be used in the Dining Hall, Food Court and the Second Cup location in the Science Building. Alternative dollars can be used in Wilf's, for off-campus pizza, and Second Cup in the Concourse. Residence students receive a bar code for their ID card and at the time of any food purchase can ascertain the value of their food balance. All food items are presented on an la carte basis and students select and buy only the food items that they individually desire, which are deducted from their debit meal card. Meal plans are available to Bricker Street residence and non-resident students both for the Dining Hall and Food Court. Both facilities also operate on a cash basis. There are two meal plans available: a light meal plan for those individuals who normally would go home most weekends which has $300 in alternative food dollars, and a regular meal plan with $600 in alternative food dollars for those individuals staying on campus. The Food Court located on the ground floor of the Student's Union Building offers a range of fast food alternatives including Mr. Sub, A&W, Domino's Pizza and the University's own Food For Thought kiosk. A&W, Second Cup in the Science Building and Wilf's are open on weekends.
