Exchange Programs
Wilfrid Laurier University has agreements with universities in
other countries to provide an annual exchange which permits the
student to complete one year of a program of study abroad. In some
instances it is required that an equal number of students from each
of the two universities be involved. Most exchange programs provide
for students to pay tuition fees at the home university.
 Ontario/Baden-Wrttemberg Student Exchange Program -
      The universities of Ontario offer fifty students the
      opportunity to study at a university in Ontario's sister
      province of Baden-Wrttemberg. This program is made possible
      through an agreement between the Ontario Ministry of
      Education and Training and the Baden-Wrttemberg Ministry of
      Science and Research.  Applications must be submitted by
      January 4th. For specific details please contact Laurier

 Ontario/Rhne-Alpes Student Exchange Program - 
      The universities of Ontario offer thirty students the
      opportunity to study at a university in the Rhone-Alpes
      region of France, with which the province of Ontario has
      established a special relationship in co-operation with the
      post-secondary institutions of both jurisdictions.
      Applications must be submitted to the Exchange Program
      Co-ordinator, Dr.David Sehl, in the Department of French
      Language and Literature, Ext. 2792, by December 1st of the
      year preceding the exchange.
 Philipps University, Marburg, Federal Republic of Germany -
      Wilfrid Laurier University has an agreement with Philipps
      University that provides for an annual exchange between the
      two institutions for up to five students. To be eligible,
      Laurier students must have completed at least two years of
      a program of study, be in good academic standing, and have
      adequate linguistic competence; in particular it is
      expected that WLU students be able to understand some German
      and be willing to immerse themselves in that language. The
      two universities have agreed that tuition fees shall be paid
      at the home university. WLU students shall receive a DM 500
      bursary. The program is available to students from any
      faculty or department in the University.  Applications must

 A Philipps University Travel Scholarship valued at DM 1,500
      is available to one Wilfrid Laurier University student each
      year for travel to Philipps University, Germany as an
      exchange student.

 A Viessmann Travel Scholarship - valued at DM 1,500 is available
      to one Wilfrid Laurier University student each year for
      travel to Philipps University, Germany as an exchange
      student.

 Groupe ESC Rennes, France - Undergraduate students in Third or
      Fourth Year, and current full-time MBA students may
      participate in this exchange.  Courses are taught in English.
      Application deadline is November 15th of the year preceding

 Innsbruck, Austria - Open to undergraduate SBE students to
      study at the University of Innsbruck, Austria in their Third
      or Fourth Year. Students must have sufficient knowledge of
      the German language to participate.  Application deadline is
      November 15th of the year preceding the exchange. For more

 Instituto Tecnolgico Autnomo de Mexico (ITAM), Mexico -
      Open to undergraduate and graduate students. Most courses are
      taught in Spanish.  Application deadline is November 15th of
      the year preceding the exchange. For more information contact

 Multi-Regional International Business Program
      (MIBP) -Open to undergraduate business students entering
      their fourth year of study or current full-time MBA students.
      Students must be fluent in the language of the region in   
      which they are planning to study. Participating regions    
      include Baden-Wurttemberg/Germany, Catalonia/Spain,
      Lombardia/Italy, Rhne-Alpes/ France, and Wales/UK.

 Nice, France - The Department of French Language and
      literature co-operates with corresponding departments at
      three other Ontario universities in operating  a Third-Year
      Abroad Program at the University of Nice, France. The
      application deadline is March 25th of the year of the
      exchange.  Details are available from the Exchange Program
