Award Description

The Lansdowne Scholarships

Students from the geographic areas of St. Thomas/Elgin County, Strathroy, Tillsonburg, Wawa, Marathon, White River, Nipigon, Manitouwadge, Terrace Bay, Waterloo Region, City of York and Ottawa-Carleton may apply for this prestigious scholarship. The maximum value of the scholarships will be the cost of tuition plus compulsory fees provided the student earns a minimum of half of the tuition and compulsory fees. All students must reside in the above areas, have good academic standing in secondary school, have made a contribution to school and/or community in leadership and demonstrate financial need. Special consideration will be provided to students who, along with residing in the required areas meet the following conditions: have been a Crown Ward of a Children's Aid Society or have a serious chronic physical challenge or have been in a residential treatment centre.
