EC237 An Introduction to Canadian Economic History 0.5

This course introduces the economic growth and development of the Canadian economy with emphasis on the years before 1867. Topics may include: aggregate economic changes with stress on structural change, the early staples of fur, fish and timber, agricultural development in Central Canada to 1914, commercial policy before Confederation, early transport changes, and population growth.

Prerequisite: EC120 (or EC101), EC140 (or EC102).
