Masterpieces in English literature from its beginning to the modern period (including works by such authors as Chaucer, Shakespeare, Milton, Swift, Wordsworth, and T.S. Eliot) and their genres and influences. Attention will also be paid to the practice of critical writing, interpretation of texts, and literary research. |
