| GM100 Introductory German I 1.0 |

An introduction to the basic elements of German grammar for students with little or no knowledge of the language. Emphasis is on group and individual practice to develop skills in aural comprehension and both verbal and written communication. Aspects of German culture and everyday life are considered. |
| Exclusion: Grade 11 (or above) German or equivalent (except with permission of the Department). |
| 3 lecture hours, 1 lab hour, 1 oral practice hour |
