Full-time registration is mandatory in order to maintain tenancy in residence. Residence facilities are provided in ten main residence buildings which house approximately 1,500 single men and women.

Of this number, 300 students are housed in the 10-story co-ed apartment-style Bricker Residence. The first floor has facilities for students with special needs. The remaining nine floors have 71 apartment "suites" for single students. Each furnished suite has four single bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a kitchen, living, and dining room. Common facilities include television lounge, games room, computer room and study room.

University Place Residence houses 206 students in 51 apartment-style suites (182 single rooms and 24 beds in shared double rooms). Each apartment has a full kitchen, a full bathroom and a half bathroom, a storage room and a living/dining room. This residence has laundry facilities, bicycle storage, a recreation room and a computer room.

Euler and Leupold co-ed residences allow 70 first-year students to choose an "Alternative Study Environment". Students are housed in double-occupancy rooms under stricter noise regulations.

The remaining five dormitory-styled buildings provide mainly double-room occupancy, as well as common area facilities such as recreation rooms, lounges, kitchenettes, washrooms, laundry rooms, computer rooms, etc. The bed-study rooms assigned to students are fully furnished and supplied with linens and towels. Students are responsible for the care and maintenance of their rooms. During the spring and summer of 1999, 86 residence beds will be added to Willison Hall in a four-floor addition to A-wing and a renovation to the ground floor of B-wing. The 72 bedrooms in the A-wing addition will all be single rooms with semi-private washroom facilities as well as Internet connections.

The residences are governed by a residence staff including Residence Managers and Dons (i.e., Residence Assistants). Each residence has a House Council which represents students' interests in social and recreational activities, building facilities and services, and residence life and disciplinary matters. Students in residence are provided with a Student Handbook, a Residence Handbook and a Residence Hall Agreement which outline the rules and regulations of residence. Smoking is permitted in rooms only by mutual consent of roommates and in designated smoking areas in each building.

All students living in residence are provided with a mail box and mail delivery five days per week.

A University meal plan is required for all residence students (except those living in Bricker Residence, University Place and 209 Regina). This flexible "declining balance" type of meal plan is available for use in the Dining Hall and The Terrace (food court), as well as some other on campus and off campus food facilities. Since Bricker Residence, University Place and 209 Regina offers each student kitchen facilities, a meal plan is not mandatory. (Students may choose to purchase a smaller meal plan if desired. See Food Service Facilities).

The majority of bed spaces in residence are reserved for first-year students. A limited number of graduate, senior, seminary, and exchange students are housed in Bricker Residence and 209 Regina.

Conrad Hall accommodates 251 single women in single and double rooms (12 residence staff members).

Willison Hall, a co-ed building that houses 249 single men and women in single and double rooms (11 residence staff members).

Bouckaert Hall, a co-ed building that houses 142 single men and women in double rooms (five residence staff members).

Little House accommodates 160 single men in double rooms (nine residence staff members).

Macdonald House, a co-ed building, accommodates 95 students (four residence staff members). Single women in double rooms on two floors and single men in double rooms on two floors.

Euler Residence, (Alternative Study Environment), a co-ed building, accommodates 34 students in double rooms (two residence staff members). Single women on one floor, and single men on another.

Leupold Residence, (Alternative Study Environment), a co-ed building accommodates 36 single students in double rooms (two residence staff members).

Bricker Residence accommodates 300 single men and women in apartment-style, self-contained units (eight residence staff members).

University Place Residence accommodates 206 single men and women in apartment-style, self-contained units (seven residence staff members).

209 Regina Street Residence accommodates 23 single men and women in 12 apartment-style, self-contained units (one residence staff member).
