The University is made up of the following six divisions:

Faculty of Arts
Faculty of Music
Faculty of Science
School of Business and Economics
Faculty of Graduate Studies
Faculty of Social Work

Each division is under the jurisdiction of a dean. The divisions may be further subdivided into departments, each under the leadership of a chair. The University has nearly 290 full-time faculty members. On December 1, 1998, the Board of Governors approved the partitioning of the Faculty of Arts and Science effective July 1, 1999, or as soon as possible thereafter.
