President's Scholarships

These scholarships were created by the University in memory of Dr. Neale H. Tayler, President of Wilfrid Laurier University from 1978 to 1982. President's scholarships, with a value of $1,000 tenable for one year, are available to an outstanding Third or Fourth Year student in each of the undergraduate Faculties. Following recommendations of the Faculties to the President, the awards will be made to students with outstanding academic records (normally a GPA of at least 10.00) as well as substantial and high-quality involvement while at Laurier in student activities, creative endeavours, or community service beyond that required for the academic program. Awards will not necessarily be made in all Faculties in every year.

Applications are available in the Student Awards Office and the deadline date for submission is October 1. Students holding other Wilfrid Laurier University scholarships are eligible to apply for this award.
