Stewart Scholar's Edmonton Award

In honour of Maurice Howard Stewart, born in 1889, and Mary Ritchie Stewart, born in 1891, from Wingham, Ontario, who settled in Edmonton, Alberta, in the second decade of the 20th century. The Stewart Scholar's Edmonton Award is available to a student applicant who meets the following criteria. The student has successfully completed Alberta high-school graduation requirements with a minimum overall first-class average, has resided continuously during the two years up to graduation within a specified area of Edmonton, and has been admitted to Wilfrid Laurier University in either Honours Business or Honours Economics. Application for the Award and admission may be concurrent.

The Stewart Scholar's Award will be given to the applicant with the highest overall average, subject to the minimum first-class standing requirement. In years when there are no applicants from the designated area, students from other parts of Edmonton who otherwise meet the criteria will be considered for this award.
