Award Description

The Deer Ridge Entrance Award

Established by The Deer Ridge Charitable Foundation to reflect its concern for youth of the Region of Waterloo. Three awards of $1,000.00 each are available each year to full-time students entering Wilfrid Laurier University from a secondary school in the Region of Waterloo. To be eligible, candidates must have lived in the Region of Waterloo for at least 10 years, and demonstrated good academic achievement as well as financial need. Participation in extra-curricular activities in the school and community may also be a consideration. Applications are available in Region of Waterloo high schools and must be submitted to the Student Awards Office of Wilfrid Laurier University by May 15th each year. (Note: Deer Ridge Golf Club members, their spouses and children are not eligible).
