Award Description

Ulrich S. Leupold Music Scholarship

This scholarship honours Dr. Ulrich S. Leupold, beloved Director of Music and Professor of New Testament at Waterloo College (later Waterloo Lutheran University) and Waterloo Lutheran Seminary from 1945 to 1970; he served as Academic Dean of the Seminary from 1954 to 1969, and as Chief Executive Officer from 1969 to 1970. The scholarship is awarded annually to an outstanding student in the Bachelor of Music program, with preference given to students who are likely to make a significant contribution to church music.
