BU454 Managing Human Resources in Canada 0.5

This course addresses the challenges of human resource management in both public and private sector organizations in Canada today. The human resources function plays a critical part in determining the overall strategic plan of an organization. Particular attention will be paid to the methods used in harnessing the talents and abilities of the people within an organization toward the achievement of overall organizational objectives. Among the methods examined are those used in employee planning, staffing, development and maintenance.

Co-requisite: Third or Fourth Year standing in the Honours BBA program (or permission of the instructor).
