EC285 Introductory Statistics 0.5

An introduction to the major concepts and techniques of probability and statistics with emphasis on economic applications. Topics include probability, distributions, estimation, hypothesis testing, chi-square, and non-parametric statistics. Regression is also introduced.

Prerequisite: MA130 or MA100*, or MA101 and MA102, or permission of the Department.
Co-requisite: Second year of an Honours Economics Program or permission of the Department.
Exclusion: BU205 or EC255 or BU255 or EC235 or MA140* or MA141 or MA240.
