FI312 Modern Canadian Art to 1960 0.5

A course with slide lectures discussing the development of Canadian art since the Group of Seven, with special attention to landscape and figure painting, abstract art, High Realism and Naive Art. The course includes modern aboriginal art. Individual artists as well as regional groups, such as those in Toronto, the Prairies, Quebec and the Maritimes, will receive special focus.†

Prerequisite: FI200* (or permission of the Co-ordinating Committee).
