Academic Awards and Scholarships

Entrance Scholarships

Entrance Scholarships are available to Canadian citizens, permanent residents, and applicants who hold a valid student visa. To be eligible, visa applicants must have completed their senior year at a Canadian high school.

These scholarships are sponsored and administered by the University for students who are entering First Year of any undergraduate program. Scholarships are based on interim grades submitted by secondary schools. A student who accepts an offer of admission at Wilfrid Laurier University may defer registration for one year without loss of the scholarship, provided the student does not register in the interval at another post-secondary institution.

A student may not hold more than one Entrance Scholarship.

If a scholarship recipient applies for financial assistance through the Ontario Student Assistance Program, the amount of aid will be affected in accordance with the regulations of the program.
