In-Course Scholarship Grid Program

Wilfrid Laurier University has introduced an in-course scholarship grid program to replace the current system of in-course awards. The new system will be mark-based and use a similar philosophy to that underlying the scholarship grid for entering students. The marks used in calculating performance in the previous in-course year will be those attained in Laurier courses. It is anticipated that modifications will be made to the grid in future years.

Regulations for In-Course Scholarship Program:

  1. Students must be registered in five full-credits for the Fall and Winter terms. Students in their final year of studies are permitted to carry a reduced course load of no less than 80 percent (four full-credits) over the Fall and Winter terms.
  2. Calculation of the scholarship will be based on the previous years' GPA from the Fall and Winter terms. (Note: students must have attained five full-credits in the previous Fall and Winter terms.) Co-op students may satisfy this requirements in any two of the previous Fall, Winter and Spring terms.
  3. International exchange students may be eligible to receive an In-Course Scholarship.
