Honours BSc Computer Science

The Honours BSc Computer Science program consists of a minimum of 20 full-credit courses (or equivalent). The aim of the program is to develop a strong understanding of the basic principles of computing, while providing the opportunity for specialization according to students' interests.

First Year
CP104, CP114, CP120/PC120, MA105 (MA105 may be replaced by MA101, MA102), MA121, MA122, PC100*
One elective credit

Second Year
CP211, CP216, CP225/PC225, CP264, MA205, MA238, MA240, PC210, PC211
One half-credit elective (MA222 is recommended)

Third Year
CP317, CP363, CP466
Three and a half elective credits

Fourth Year
Five elective credits

Notes:

  1. The electives must include at least 3.5 senior computing credits, and must include at least a half-credit in Curriculum Division A (excluding Mathematics) and a half-credit in Curriculum Division B.
  2. For progression into the next year, and for graduation, the cumulative GPA is calculated on the Physics and Computing courses combined.
