Honours BSc Mathematics

The Honours BSc Mathematics program consists of a minimum of 20 full-credit courses (or equivalent), of which at least 11 but no more than 13 must be in Mathematics. The program shall include no more than seven 100 level credits, and must include the following:

MA101, MA102, MA121, MA122, MA200, MA201, MA205, MA215, MA222, MA240, MA250, MA304, MA322, MA323, MA489 and at least three additional Mathematics credits at the 300 or 400 level, including at least one and a half at the 400 level.
At least two of BI100*, CH100*, GL100* and PC100*;
CP102 or CP104
Two approved senior science credits, of which at most one may be a senior credit in Computing.

Notes:

  1. Electives must include at least a half-credit in Curriculum Division A (excluding Mathematics) and at least a half-credit in Curriculum Division B.
  2. The following is a suggested schedule within which all program requirements can be fulfilled:

First Year
MA101, MA102, MA121, MA122
CP102 or CP104
One of BI100*, CH100*, GL100*, PC100*
One and a half non-Mathematics elective credits

Second Year
MA200, MA201, MA205, MA215, MA222, MA240, MA250
One of BI100*, CH100*, GL100*, PC100*
One half-credit non-Mathematics elective

Third Year
MA304, MA322, MA323
Two Mathematics elective credits
One senior science credit
One half-credit elective

Fourth Year
MA489
One and a half Mathematics elective credits
One senior science credit
One half-credit non-Mathematics elective
One and a half elective credits
