EN354*/454* Literature of the 17th Century 1.0

A study of a wide variety of canonical and non-canonical drama, poetry and prose by both men and women writers. The course includes attention to the material and cultural conditions of textual production. Texts are analyzed in relation to 17th-century debates about aesthetic, political and social issues.

Prerequisite: Registration in the Third or Fourth Year of any degree program.
