The Wilfrid Laurier University Students' Union (WLUSU) is a unique, student-owned and operated non-profit corporation. WLUSU provides for the needs of students by acting as the official representative of all undergraduate students. Both elected and hired representatives work on behalf of undergraduate students to ensure that their issues and concerns are represented and communicated in the University community and to the administration. WLUSU also manages several successful business ventures, which employ over 200 students in part-time positions, and the profits from those businesses are reinvested in the Students' Union to sustain our healthy volunteer program structure.

The Students' Union provides students with many services. With an operating budget nearing $5 million, WLUSU provides over 1,000 volunteer and employment opportunities such as Laurier Students for Literacy, First Year Council and WLU Foot Patrol. The Students' Union also manages 50 percent of the University Student Services Portfolios by funding through the Comprehensive Student Services Fee and essential services such as Health Services, Counselling, Athletics, Chaplains, Career Services as well as Food Services. WLUSU operates seven student-owned and operated business ventures: The Centre Spot, The Turret Night Club, Wilf's Restaurant & Pub, the Golden Wok, the Pita Shack, the Yogen Früz Café and WLUSU Financial Services.
