University Regulations
A course must be added no later than 12 calendar days from the beginning of term lectures. This regulation applies to Spring Term, Fall, Winter, and full-credit courses taken over the September to April academic year. Consult the Academic Dates chapter for the corresponding dates for six-week courses.
NEW for Spring 2002: The final dates for withdrawing from courses without penalty of failure are:
Fall term courses | Two-thirds of class |
Winter term courses | Two-thirds of class |
Full-credit courses | Two-thirds of class |
Six-Week courses | Two-thirds of class |
Intersession, Summer Session and Spring term courses | Two-thirds of class |
Consult the Academic Dates chapter for actual dates for withdrawal from courses without penalty of failure. A grade of "F'' will be assigned if a student withdraws after the final date.
All withdrawals from courses after two-thirds of the classes in that course have been completed shall result in a denotation of "Withdrawn" (i.e., "WD") on the student's transcript. This regulation ends with the winter 2002 term. The above deadline dates are in effect for the Spring 2002 term.
