Faculty of Arts

General Programs

General programs are normally 15 full-credit courses (or equivlent). Students usually complete five full-credit courses (or ten half-credit courses) a year for each of three years. General programs focus on one or more major subjects and emphasize a broad understanding of a discipline (history, fine arts, Spanish, etc.). Students combine the study of their major subjects with electives taken from other disciplines.
