CA100* Canadian Society and Culture 1.0

A lecture/tutorial class offering a broad survey of the political, cultural, social, economic and physical aspects of modern Canada. The course will be multi-disciplinary within an historical focus.

Exclusion: CA200*.

CA201 Québec in Canada 0.5

An examination of political, economic, social and cultural developments in contemporary Québec and their impact upon public policy, including relations between Québec and the rest of Canada.

Prerequisite: CA100* or permission of the Co-ordinating Committee.

CA202 Canada Beyond Québec 0.5

An examination of political, economic, social and cultural developments which impact upon the public policy of the Federal government and the governments of the First Nations, provinces and territories, other than Québec.

Prerequisite: CA100* or permission of the Co-ordinating Committee.

CA301 Interdisciplinary Seminar 0.5

A seminar course required for Canadian Studies majors. Themes will vary with the instructor.

Prerequisite: CA201, CA202 and registration status: Canadian Studies Major or Minor.
