Leo A. Groarke, PhD, Dean, Brantford Campus, (519) 756-8228
The Children's Education and Development option is only available at the Brantford Campus in conjunction with the Contemporary Studies major.
The CED Option is designed to provide students taking the Contemporary Studies program with a supplemental course of study focussing on children's issues, with particular emphasis on developmental and educational issues. Combined with the Contemporary Studies program, the option provides students with a well rounded interdisciplinary understanding of contemporary subjects and issues as they relate to children, children's issues and child development. All students in the program participate in field placements in which they work with children. Successful completion of the CED Option is a good background for future work in child-related fields.
For graduation, students must have a minimum GPA of 6.0 computed on all courses in the option.
