Award for Teaching Excellence

This award was established to honour those full and part-time faculty members who excel in teaching. Up to two recipients (one full-time faculty member and one part-time faculty member) may receive the award each year. Recipients of the WLU Award for Teaching Excellence will be expected to have (a) a comprehensive knowledge of the subject matter; (b) established a reputation among students and colleagues for superior teaching, including the ability to interest and motivate students to achieve high standards; (c) demonstrated clearly that efforts are made to keep abreast of new teaching methods, curriculum development and course design; and (d) made a contribution to the enhancement of the educational activities and responsibilities of the University.
