Course Description

AR453 Post-Excavation Analysis in Historical Archaeology 0.5

This seminar course introduces students to the procedures and analytical methods used in the interpretation of historic period archaeological sites. Students will work with assigned collections of artifacts and excavation records from Wilfrid Laurier field schools. Artifacts will be catalogued and entered into computerised databases for later analysis. Examination of stratigraphy and documentary sources provide additional information for collection/site interpretation.†

Prerequisite: AR218*, AR306*, AR341.
