Course Description

MA371 Computational Methods in Mathematics and Statistics 0.5

Solution techniques using computational methods in matrix, differential and integral equations. Statistical simulation, Fourier and other transform methods. The use of languages such as Fortran, C++, Java, Maple, Matlab in numeric and symbolic solution methods.

Prerequisite: MA201, MA222; CP104.

3 lecture hours; 3 lab hours every other week
