Course Description

AN200 Key Concepts in Social and Cultural Anthropology 0.5

This course introduces techniques, concepts, and theories used by anthropologists for understanding sociocultural practices in all their diverse forms. Emphasis is placed on analysis of the intercultural dynamics of local everyday life. Students will learn how to identify various ways of investigating and articulating issues concerning gender, ethnicity, environment, health and human rights within a cross-cultural understanding of the world.

Prerequisite: AN101, AN102.
Exclusion: AN200*/250*.
