Course Description

EN352* Literature of the Middle Ages 1.0

A study of medieval writing with special emphasis on the works of Geoffrey Chaucer. The course explores the period's diversity of genres, such as legends and myths, romances, adventure narratives, mystic works and drama, in Middle English or modern translations. Selected modern depictions of the Middle Ages in popular culture such as film shall also be considered.
