Course Description

MA255 Continuous and Discrete Transforms W 0.5

Properties of continuous and discrete Fourier transforms; the Sampling Theorem; Inverse Fourier Transforms and convolution; introduction to wavelet analysis; Fast Fourier Transforms and other algorithms. Applications will be selected from areas such as sound, vision, and optics.

Prerequisite: MA104, MA201, MA205.

3 lecture hours, 3 lab hours every other week
