MU370 Music in the Middle Ages 0.5

A history of liturgical and secular music from ca. 500 to the end of the 14th century. Composers, theoretical concepts, forms, notations, and representative compositions will be studied within the cultural context of the period.†

Prerequisite: MU271 (or permission of the dean).
