Student Publications is an autonomous corporation with a president and a board of directors that are elected from the student body. Student Publications publishes The Cord, a weekly tabloid-size newspaper. The Cord operates with a full-time editor-in-chief along with a large base of student volunteers.

Student Publications also publishes The Keystone, a full-colour hardcover yearbook, a day planner (The WLU'er) and a student telephone directory (the Cord Guide to Laurier).

These publications are available free of charge (except The Keystone) to all full-time undergraduate students. Student Publications offers experience in desktop publishing, photography, advertising sales and design and journalism.
