Honours BSc Geography

The Honours BSc Geography program consists of 20.0 credits (or equivalent), of which a minimum of 10.5 credits must be in Geography and a minimum of 8.0 must be non-geography credits. Not more than 6.0 credits may be at the 100 level. The program must include a minimum of a 0.5 credit in Curriculum Division A. For progression into Year 2 of the program, the requirements include a minimum GP of 6.0 in each of GG100* and GL100*.

Year 1
GG100*; GL100*; 2.0 credits from: BI100*; CH100*; PC131 and PC132
MA103 and MA104 (recommended) or another credit in Mathematics (excluding MA130 and MA141)

Year 2
GG251, GG254, GG258, GG260, GG270, GG281, GG282, GG290
1.0 non-geography elective credit including a minimum of a 0.5 credit in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics or Physics.

Year 3
Three of: GG351, GG355, GG360, GG361, GG368, GG369, GG380
Three of: GG336, GG381, GG382, GG383, GG384, GG385, GG386, GG388, GG389, GG395, GG396, GG480, GG481, GG486
1.5 non-geography elective credits, including a minimum of a 0.5 credit in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics or Physics.
0.5 credit Geography or non-geography elective.
Geography Field Camp (one week, no credit).

Year 4
One of: GG480, GG481, GG486
Two of: GG336, GG381, GG382, GG383, GG384, GG385, GG386, GG388, GG389, GG395, GG396, GG480, GG481, GG486
1.5 non-geography elective credits including a minimum of a 0.5 credit in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics or Physics.
1.0 Geography or non-geography elective credit.
Either GG450*, or 1.0 credit consisting of a 0.5 credit in Geography at the 400 level (excluding GG451) and a 0.5 credit in Geography at the 300 or 400 level.
