Comprehensive

This program allows the student to choose a maximum number of Music elective credits in order to design a program of study in accordance with the student's own musical interests.

Core credits required of all Honours BMus students: MU161, MU162, MU171, MU181, MU186º, MU187º, MU190A*, MU266, MU268, MU270, MU271, MU281, MU286º, MU287º, MU388º, MU389º.

Other credits required in the comprehensive program: MU290A*, MU390A*, MU490A*, MU381, MU481, either any two of MU375, MU461 and MU462, or MU375 and another 0.5 credit from the Music 370 series; (fortepiano students must take MU373); one additional 0.5 credit from the Music 370 series; 1.0 credit in music history, literature, theory, and/or conducting (orchestral instrument players must take MU367, organists must take MU292A and MU292B); 0.5 Music elective credit; 2.0 electives that may be Music or non-music; 4.0 non-music electives for a total of 20.0 credits.
