Honours BSc Chemistry

The Honours BSc Chemistry program consists of a minimum of 20.0 credits, with at least 10.0 but not more than 12.0 senior Chemistry credits. Not more than 6.5 credits may be at the 100 level. The program must include the following:

Year 1
CH100*; PC131, PC132
MA122; either MA103 and MA104, or MA110*
1.5 elective credits

Year 2
CH200* or both CH202 and CH203, CH212, CH220*, CH225
MA205
1.5 elective credits (must include MA104 if not taken in Year 1)

Year 3
CH301, CH303, CH312, CH313, CH314, CH329, CH330
PC212
1.0 elective credit

Year 4
CH490*
2.5 additional CH credits
1.5 elective credits

Notes:

  1. While the above schedule constitutes the recommended sequence by which all program requirements are satisfied, other valid sequences are possible. However, many of the required courses have one or more prerequisites and students are advised to be cautious in departing from the recommended schedule.
  2. Electives must include a 0.5 credit from both Curriculum Divisions A and B. These courses must be completed by the end of Year 2.
  3. MA205, PC212 must be completed by the end of Year 3.
