The Diploma in Accounting has been designed to meet the needs of people planning for a career in accounting. The program is offered on both a full-time and a part-time basis. Program requirements are given in the following chart:

2. Prior to admission to the program, students must have completed: BU205, BU227, BU247, EC120, and EC140, or equivalent courses. When the number of applicants with minimum qualifications exceeds the number of places available, candidates will be rank ordered on the basis of academic record and achievement in these five courses. 3. Students may be granted a maximum of 2.0 credits toward the diploma, taken prior to admission to the program. | 1. In order to graduate, students must attain a minimum cumulative GPA of 7.00 (B-). This average must be attained with a maximum of 7.0 credit attempts; that is, only 2 0.5-credit courses may be repeated or substituted.
2. Students must complete at least 4.0 credits (8 0.5-credits) at Wilfrid Laurier University after admission to the program. | The Diploma in Accounting does not include all of the courses needed to satisfy Chartered Accountants or Certified Management Accountant or General Accountant program requirements. However, information regarding the availability of these courses at Laurier is available through the Undergraduate Programs Office in the Department of Business. |
